    Note that PICO and HID modes require special configuration barcodes based on the scanner and/or the cradle Bluetooth MAC addresses, which cannot be included in a general purpose manual such as this. Please contact ASP or your dealer if you wish to operate your equipment in these modes.

    Zapper Tornado BT™ and Zapper Tornado BT 2D™ Users Manual Out-of-range Scanning When the radio is connected between the scanner and the remote host device, the scanner will transmit each scanned data right after scanning the barcode. However, if the scanner loses the radio connection with the remote host device, it is configured to be unable to scan any barcode data.

To page the paired cradle, scan the “Paging” command below. To page the paired scanner, press the paging/reset button of the cradle for less than three seconds.

During the process, the scanner will give continuous short clicks and blue blinks. The scanner will emit two short beeps after data transmission is completed.

Remember that you shouldn’t need to scan any of these setup barcodes – your Zapper Tornado BT will normally have been supplied already set up correctly for you.

    Zapper Tornado BT™ and Zapper Tornado BT 2D™ Users Manual Tilde Prefix Some applications require each barcode to be output with an extra character before the barcode. A common prefix character is the tilde ~, and the barcodes below allow this to be set.

    Zapper Tornado BT™ and Zapper Tornado BT 2D™ Users Manual Power-On Beep By default, the Zapper Tornado BT sounds a beep when it is powered on. To change the power-on beep mode, scan the PROGRAM barcode on the left below, then the POWER ON BEEP barcode, then one of the option barcodes on the right, then the END barcode on the left.

    It is your responsibility to carefully pack any unit being returned for service, warranty or otherwise, and pay shipping charges to your dealer location or ASP. Units sent freight collect will not be accepted. Freight back to you will be paid by ASP in the case of warranty repairs.
