BEFORE THE FIRST USE

NOTE: NEVER USE THE FONDUE POT ON ANOTHER HEATING SOURCE THAN THE SUPPLIED HEATING BASE.

  • Take the appliance and accessories out the box. Remove the stickers, protective foil or plastic from the device.
  • Clean the forks and the fondue pot in warm soapy water and dry them thoroughly.
  • Place the device on a flat stable surface and ensure a minimum of 10 cm. free space around the device. This device is not suitable for installation in a cabinet or for outside use.

USE

  • The fondue pan is suitable for various types of fondue, such as the classic meat fondue, as well as cheese fondue, a chocolate fondue or a Chinese fondue (with stock).
  • You can preheat the ingredients in a pan before pouring it into the fondue pot.
  • Fill the pan with oil, cheese, stock or chocolate, but do not put too much in.
  • Place the plug into the socket and set the thermostat button to the desired temperature.
  • Set the thermostat at the desired temperature.

Thermostat settings:

  1. Chocolat
  2. Cheese
  3. Broth
  4. Oil
  • These temperature settings are indicative. It is possible you have to to adjust the thermostat in order to reach the ideal temperature.
  • As soon as the appliance has reached the set temperature, the indicator light will go out.
  • While in use, the temperature light will go on and off: this shows that the thermostat is working correctly and that the contents of the pan are being heated at the set temperature.
  • Stir the fondue to make sure that it is fully melted.
  • Prick the food onto the fondue fork
  • Dip the food into the fondue and stir it into the fondue for a few seconds.
  • Take the fondue fork from the fondue pot and remove the food.
  • To switch off the appliance, turn the thermostat dial to the minimum temperature and remove the main plug from the wall socket.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

  • Before cleaning or maintenance, always switch off the appliance, remove the mains plug from the wall socket and wait until the appliance has cooled down.
  • Do not immerse the appliance in water or any other liquids for cleaning.
  • Clean the forks and the fondue pot in warm soapy water and dry them thoroughly.
  • Clean the base with a clean, dry cloth.
