Installing and Removing the Battery Pack from the tool
Warning! Make certain the lock-off button is engaged to
prevent switch actuation before removing or installing battery.
To install battery pack (Fig. C)
Insert battery pack firmly into tool until an audible click is
u
heard as shown in figure C. Ensure battery pack is fully
seated and fully latched into position.
To remove battery pack (Fig. D)
Depress the battery release button (1b) as shown in figure
u
D and pull battery pack out of tool.
Storage hook (Optional extra) (Fig. E)
Warning! To reduce the risk of serious personal injury, place
the Speed selector and lock off button in the lock-off position
or turn tool off and disconnect battery pack before making any
adjustments or removing/installing attachments or
accessories.
An accidental start-up can cause injury.
Warning! To reduce the risk of serious personal injury, ensure
the screw (13) holding the storage hook is secure.
Note: When attaching or replacing the storage hook (14), use
only the screw (13) that is provided. Be sure to securely
tighten the screw into the accessory attachment location (10) .
If the hook is not desired at all, it can be removed from the
tool.
To move the storage hook, remove the screw (13) that holds
the storage hook (14) in place.
Note: Various trackwall hooks and storage configurations are
available.

Assembly
Warning! Before assembly, remove the battery from the tool
and make sure that the saw blade has stopped. Used saw
blades may be hot.
Fitting the saw blade (fig. F)
Hold the tool away from the body

Rotate the blade clamp collar (6) in the direction shown in
u
figure .
Insert the shank of the blade (10) fully into the blade
u

clamp collar (5).
Release the blade clamp collar and gently tug on the
u
blade to ensure blade is clamped securely.
Note: The blade can be installed with the teeth up to assist in
flush cutting
Removing the saw blade (fig. F)
Warning! Burn hazard: Do not touch the blade immediately
after use. Contact with the blade may result in personal injury.
Rotate the blade clamp collar (6) to the release position
u

Speed selection and lock-off button
The tool features two speed settings for greater versatility.
Note: Do not change speeds when the tool is running.
Always allow the tool to come to a complete stop before
changing speed.
To select speed 1 (low speed), slide the speed selector (4)
u
so the arrow aligns with position 1.
To select speed 2 (high speed), slide the speed selector
u
so the arrow aligns with position 2.
To lock the tool, slide the speed selector to the locked
u
position. When the lock/speed change lever is in the
locked position, the tool is locked and the trigger switch
cannot be pulled.
Switching on and off
The variable speed on/off switch offers a choice of speeds for
greatly improved cutting rates in various materials.
To switch the tool on, squeeze the variable speed on/off
u
switch (3).
To switch the tool off, release the variable speed on/off
u
switch (3).
Correct hand position (Fig. G)
Warning! To reduce the risk of serious personal injury,
ALWAYS use correct hand position as shown.
Warning! To reduce the risk of serious personal injury,
ALWAYS hold securely in anticipation of a sudden reaction.
Correct hand position requires one hand on the hand grip (9) ,
with the other hand on the main handle (8) .
Sawing
Always hold the tool with both hands.
u
Let the blade run freely for a few seconds before starting
u
the cut.
Apply only a gentle pressure to the tool while performing
u
the cut.
If possible, work with the shoe (3) pressed against the
u
workpiece. This will improve tool control and reduce tool
vibration, as well as prevent the blade from being
damaged.
