Clearing CMOS settings

CAUTION:
Clearing CMOS settings will reset the BIOS settings on your computer.
1. Remove the
base
cover.
2. Disconnect the battery cable from the system board.
3. Remove the
coin-cell
battery.
4. Wait for one minute.
5. Replace the
coin-cell
battery.
6. Connect the battery cable to the system board.
7. Replace the
base
cover.
Clearing BIOS (System Setup) and System
passwords
To clear the system or BIOS passwords, contact Dell technical support as described at www.dell.com/contactdell.
CAUTION:
This Secure Wipe Operation will delete information in a way
that it cannot be reconstructed.
If enabled, the BIOS will queue up a data wipe cycle for storage devices that are
connected to the motherboard on the next reboot.
Default: OFF.
Controls flashing of the system firmware to previous revisions.
Default: ON.
Enables flash update signature override.
Default: OFF.
Displays Power events.
Default: Keep.
Displays BIOS events.
Default: Keep.
Displays Thermal events.
Default: Keep.
Controls the automatic boot flow for SupportAssist System Resolution Console and
for Dell operating system Recovery tool.
Default: 2.
Enables or disables the boot flow for SupportAssist operating system Recovery tool
in the even of certain system errors.
Default: ON.
