SECTION 8
MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE
SERVICE CHECK LIST
Air Filter - Operating conditions determine frequency of service. If the "CHANGE AIR FILTER" message
is displayed, air filter requires servicing or changing. See "Air Filter", Section 6.
Oil Separator - Operating conditions determine frequency of service. If the "CHANGE SEPARATOR"
message is displayed, the oil separator element requires changing. See "Compressor Oil Separator" in
Section 5, for further details.
Motor Lubrication - Refer to Section 2, and Maintenance Schedule Chart, page 69.
Every 8 Hours Operation
1.
Check the reservoir oil level - add oil if required. See Section 5. If oil consumption is high, refer to
"Excessive Oil consumption, page 71. DO NOT MIX LUBRICANTS.
2.
Observe if the unit loads and unloads properly.
3.
Check discharge pressure and temperature.
4.
Check Panel LED's for advisories.
Every 125 Hours Operation
1.
Check for dirt accumulation on oil/aftercooler core faces and the cooling fan. If cleaning is required,
clean the exterior fin surfaces of the cores by blowing compressed air carrying a nonflammable
safety solvent in a direction opposite that of the cooling fan air flow. This cleaning operation will
keep the exterior cooling surfaces clean and ensure effective heat dissipation.
Every 1000 Hours Operation
1.
Change the oil filter element.
Every 8000 Hours Operation
1.
Change the compressor lubricant. UNDER ADVERSE CONDITIONS, CHANGE MORE
FREQUENTLY (refer to "Oil Change Interval", page 52). Flush system if required.
Every Year
1.
Check the relief valve for proper operation. See Section 4.
2.
Check shutdowns for proper operation.
