There are two ways to upgrade M3 with network cable or serial cable.

1. Package Upgrade

File name: M3_package_xx.bin

1.1. Connect device with PC

1: Connect M3 and PC by LAN cable (Figure 1).
2:Connect M3 and PC by RS232 convert USB cable (Figure 2 and 3).

1.2. Power on the M3

Please disconnect input and output signals before upgrade.

1.3. XTOOL Connection Setting

1.3.1. After installation, open the XTOOL
left corner to switch the language as the figure shown:
1.3.2. Connection setting:
Connected by LAN cable：Click [Connection], Select [Net comm] and set the same IP

  • Page 3 2. 4K Input Firmware Upgrade File name: M3_4K_package_xx.bin 2.1. If the M3 equipped with a 4K input board, after upgrading package firmware then restart the device. Load “M3_4K_package_xx.bin” on XTOOL, use the same way to upgrade 4K Input board.
