FLEET AND ID NUMBER FORMAT

During transmission, each radio unit is identified by a combination of its Fleet number and ID
number from a maximum of 1,000,000 unique combinations. Furthermore, the radio's Fleet/ID
number is present in all FleetSync transmissions (e.g., PTT ID, Selective Call, Status Messaging,
Text Messaging, etc.) and must be set within the range of values shown in the table below:
NOTE: For shared systems (i.e., users sharing the same radio systems), the operator or users
must organize and allocate FleetSync ID numbers accordingly, or conflicts could occur. Be sure
to allocate a unique set of Fleet number(s), from 100 through 349, for each fleet on a shared
system (e.g., company, agency, etc.).

BASIC FEATURE SET APPLICATIONS

In this guide, we will present seven different applications that use the FleetSync Basic feature set
to improve daily fleet communication. These examples illustrate the most common applications
of the FleetSync radio-to radio feature sets. Each example is arranged by Feature Definition,
Usage and an Application. Numerous FleetSync applications are possible with support software
and peripheral equipment.
For further information, refer to the FleetSync programming Guide available from Dealer Tools
or contact Kenwood Technical Support.
