Caution
• This unit is designed for negative earth 12 V
DC operation only.
• Before making connections, turn the car
ignition off to avoid short circuits.
• Connect the yellow and red power input
leads only after all other leads have been
connected.
• Be sure to connect the red power input lead to
the positive 12 V power terminal which is
powered when the ignition switch is in the
accessory position.
• Run all earth wires to a common earth
point.
• The use of optical instruments with this
product will increase eye hazard.
• Use of controls adjustments or performance
of procedures of other than those specified
herein may result in hazardous radiation
exposure.
• For your safety, the monitor connected to the
VIDEO OUTPUT FRONT cable can only be
viewed when the car is stopped and the
parking brake is applied.
Be sure to connect parking cord qk to the car's
parking brake switch cord.
Notes on the power supply cord (yellow)
• When connecting this unit in combination
with other stereo components, the connected
car circuit's rating must be higher than the
sum of each component's fuse.
• When no car circuits are rated high enough,
connect the unit directly to the battery.

1 to a metal point on the car
First connect the black earth lead, then connect
the yellow and red power input leads.

to the +12 V power terminal which is powered
at all times
Be sure to connect the black earth lead first.
3 to the +12 V power terminal which is powered
when the ignition switch is in the accessory
position

The audio out connections on this unit can
be configured several ways. Refer to the
corresponding number illustration above.
A For audio out from the car audio with FM tuner.
Connect FM modulator to the car audio.
B For audio out from the car audio.
Connect RCA pin cord to the car audio or source
selector etc.
C For audio out from digital amplifier or audio
device.
Connect optical cable RC-97/98 (optional) etc. to
a digital amplifier or audio device equipped
with a Dolby digital decoder.
Fuse replacement
If the fuse blows, check the power connection
and replace the fuse. If the fuse blows again
after replacement, there may be an internal
malfunction.
Warning
Use a fuse with the specified amperage rating.
Use of a higher amperage fuse may cause
serious damage.
