Read this before you or your child uses a video game.
Certain people are prone to seizures or loss of consciousness when they
see certain types of flashing lights or elements that are commonly found in
our daily lives. These people are at risk of seizures when they watch certain
television images or play certain video games. These phenomena may occur
even if the person has no medical history or has never experienced an
epileptic seizure. If you or a member of your family has ever experienced
epilepsy-related symptoms (seizures or loss of consciousness) in the
presence of "light" stimuli, please consult your doctor before using the
device. We advise parents to be attentive towards their children when they
play video games. If you or your child experiences the following symptoms:
dizziness, blurred vision, eye or muscle twitching, loss of consciousness,
orientation difficulties, involuntary movement or seizure, please stop playing
immediately and consult a healthcare professional.
Precautions to be taken in all cases when using a video game:
Do not sit too close to the screen. Play at a safe distance from the TV
•
screen, as far away as the connecting cord allows.
Use video games on a small screen if possible. Avoid playing if you are
•
tired or lacking sleep.
•
Make sure you play in a well-lit room.
Take ten to fifteen minute breaks every hour when playing.
