Cutting without a Mat (Kiss-cut)
A kiss-cut is what is used when you are using cutting materials that have a backing (i.e., vinyl, heat transfer, sticker
sheets, etc.). When you are performing a kiss-cut with the Cameo machines, there are two other features you may want
to utilize: the roll feeder and the crosscutter.
If you don't wish to use the roll feeder or the crosscutter as part of performing the kiss-cut, there are two things you
need to do:
1. Go to the Page Setup panel and change the Cutting Mat to "None."
2. Go to the Send tab, and select your material (remember that to perform this type of cut your material MUST have a backing).
After you've done these two steps, you can continue with your cut.
