Resetting the Desktop Controller

If you want to join your Macintosh computer to a different Sonos Digital Music System,
you must first reset your Desktop Controller software.
Choose Reset Sonos from the Sonos menu.
1.
Select Reset.
2.
Select Quit.

Your Desktop Controller window will automatically quit. The next time you start the
Desktop Controller software, the Setup Assistant will appear to prompt you through
the setup process. If you are joining your computer to an existing Sonos Digital Music
System, you do not have to press the Mute and Volume Up buttons on every
ZonePlayer again - just one that is connected to your system via an Ethernet cable.

Uninstalling

If you wish to remove the Desktop Controller software from your Macintosh computer,
choose Uninstall Sonos from the Sonos menu, and then drag the application to the
trash. The Sonos Digital Music System will no longer be able to access music from this
computer.

Firewall Information

The Sonos Digital Music System is designed to work with existing firewall software.
Follow the steps below to see if your firewall allows access to the Sonos Digital Music
System.
Open the System Preferences window.

Select the Sharing icon, and then select the Firewall tab.

If the message "Firewall Off" is displayed, your Sonos Digital Music System will be

recognized and you do not have to do anything further. Select Continue.
If the message "Firewall Off" does not display, you must add access to the ports

your ZonePlayers will use.
