TROUBLESHOOTING

Check the following points before calling for repair. If the refrigerator still does not work correctly, contact a Hitachi customer
service center for product information and handling of the problem.
When this happens

Is a Refrigerator Compartment door open?
Are there water drops or dirt on the Control Panel?
Are you wearing gloves or do you have a plaster
on your finger?
Are you touching another area of the touch panel
at the same time?
Is food or a bag stuck in a door so that
it cannot close completely?
Have you packed food in forcibly or put a large
amount of food in the refrigerator at once?
Are the cases for each compartment
attached properly?
It may be difficult to cool depending on the location
where the refrigerator is installed, the gaps, and
the surrounding conditions.
Is the refrigerator set to "Energy Saving" mode?
Is the temperature set to " "?
Is the ambient temperature around the
refrigerator too high, such as in summer?
Did you open one of the doors for a long time
or did you open and close it too frequently?
Does the Control Panel display change
continuously?

Action and Reasons
Cooling may take more than 24 hours after installation.
Place food at appropriate intervals, refrain from opening and
closing the doors as much as possible, and wait.
Cooling takes more time during summer or if a large amount
of food is being stored.
As the entire refrigerator is not cooled immediately after
installation, it takes more than 24 hours for the first ice to be
made. Place food at appropriate intervals, refrain from
opening and closing the doors as much as possible, and wait.
Cancel the lock of the Control Panel.
Operate after closing it.
Remove the dirt with a damp cloth and then wipe it with
a dry cloth.
Touch directly with your finger.
Touch only the area you wish to operate.
The Operation Section goes out about 40 seconds after
the completion of operation to save energy.
To turn it back on, touch
Refrigerator Compartment.
Remove the food and close the door fully. Note the height
of food when storing it.
Keep gaps between food when storing it.
Attach them properly.
Check if the refrigerator is installed correctly.
Cancel "Energy Saving" mode.
Change the temperature setting of the compartment which
does not cool well.
The temperature inside the refrigerator gradually rises while one
of the refrigerator doors is open. Frequently opening and closing
the doors or leaving a door open for a long time makes it difficult
for the temperature in the refrigerator to drop. Open and close
the doors quickly or open and close them as little as possible.
The refrigerator is in Store mode. Cancel this mode.
