Condition
○The needle pointer is
not around right under 0
before starting
installation with power
off.
○The RPM is not
displayed correctly.
○The tachometer is
reading slightly lower
than the original
tachometer.
○Serial line error is
displayed.
○All the connected
gauges don's work.

Possible Cause
○The needle pointer moved
in transit.
○Wiring of the tachometer
signal is wrong.
○Setting of the number of
cylinders is wrong.
○Generally tachometer
readings are about up to
10% higher than actual RPM.
○Communication error is
occurred between gauges
and ADVANCE Control unit.
○There is a wire short
circuit or disconnected wire
somewhere on meter wire or
sensor wire.
○There is something wrong
with one or more gauges.
Corrective Action
○It is the unique feature of stepping
motor that the needle pointer may
move when a slight impact is made to
the gauge with electricity off. Check if
the needle pointer goes back to around
0 when the ignition is turned from on to
off. If it does not, please contact the
store.
○Check wiring as per instructions in
this manual.
○Check the number of cylinders as per
instructions in this manual.
○Check if the difference is up to 10%.
This product is designed for high
accuracy and should have little error
margin. If the difference is much more
than 10%, check setting of the number
of cylinders.
○Check the meter wire as per instruc-
tions in this manual. If any defects are
not found, please ask the shop for
inspection.
○In case that the sensor is broken, it
needs to be replaced. Please ask the
shop for inspection.
○Check the meter wire and sensor wire
as per instructions in this manual. If any
defects are not found, please ask the
shop for inspection.
