Preparing the pipes
The pressure of refrigerant R410A is higher than

that of R22, and thus the thickness of copper
pipes must comply with that shown in the right
table. The copper pipe of 0.7 mm thickness
available on the market must not be used.

Cutting and flaring operation of copper tubes
Use pipe cutter to cut the copper pipe
perpendicularly.

Tighten the pipe

When deburring the copper pipe, point
down to the pipe to avoid copper chips
coming in the pipe.
Ensure that the
inside of copper
tube has no
scratches.
Perform the pipe flaring.
Check the pipe flares. Poor flaring
will cause leakage when they are
jointed.

to ensure no leakage from the joint.
After tightening with a wrench, slightly screw
backward and then tighten it using the torque
wrench.
