3. Reinstall the side I/O bracket.
4. Reinstall all the removed parts, and then reconnect the cables.

Prerequisite
Before you start, read Chapter 1 "Important safety information" on page 1 and print the following
instructions.
Before you open the computer cover, turn off the computer and wait several minutes until the computer is
cool.
Replacement procedure
1. Remove the system board. See "System board" on page 70.
2. Remove the side I/O bracket. See "Side I/O bracket" on page 71.
3. Remove the power switch. See "Power switch board and bracket" on page 68.
4. Remove 14 screws. Then, remove the system board front cover.
