➤ The power supply line to the electronics/lighting (fig. o 9, page 8) must be
protected by a 2-A fuse.
➤ Use cables as short as possible to connect the heating element.
➤ Run the power supply line to the heating element (fig. o 15, page 8) via
an ignition-controlled relay (fig. o 9, page 8) to prevent the battery from
completely discharging if the engine is switched off accidentally.
Exception: S+
➤ Connect a 12 V continuous supply to the connection for lighting/electronics
(terminals 5 and 6).
D+
In automatic mode, the refrigerator selects the most favorable mode available. The
refrigerator is only operated with direct current when the vehicle engine is running.
The electronics of the refrigerator uses the signal D+ from the light system to detect
the running engine.
➤ Connect the D+ connection (fig. o 10, page 8) with the controller with the
respective terminal of the vehicle.
S+
If the refrigerator is connected to a vehicle solar power system via the S+ connection,
the refrigerator will be powered by the solar power system in automatic mode. The
refrigerator electronics uses the S+ signal of the solar charge controller to detect a
solar system. The solar charge controller must have an AES output.
➤ Connect the S+ connection on the controller (fig. o, page 8) to the respective
terminal of the solar charge controller.
➤ Connect the heating element (fig. o 14, page 8) directly to the battery.
✓ The battery is charged via the solar power system.
