Electrical connection

Depending on version this appliance is
supplied with a connection cable
without a plug.

The voltage, rated load and fuse
rating are given on the data plate.
Please ensure these match the site
mains supply.
Connection to the electricity supply
must only be carried out by a suitably
qualified and competent person in strict
accordance with current local and
national safety regulations (BS 7671 in
the UK).

Connection should be made via
a suitable isolator or plug. This must
be easily accessible for
disconnecting the tumble dryer from
the electrical supply.
For the benefit of future servicing and
testing of the appliance, we
recommend connection via a suitable
IPX44 plug.
If the appliance is hard-wired, provision
must be made on site to switch off all
poles. Switches with a minimum all-pole
contact gap greater than 3 mm are
suitable for isolating the appliance.
These include circuit breakers, fuses
and protective devices (IEC/EN 60947).
For extra safety it is advisable to protect
this appliance with a suitable residual
current device (RCD).

Any changes to the electrical
installation, including fitting or replacing
circuit breakers and fuses and
replacing the mains connection cable,
must be carried out by an approved
electrician to ensure compliance with
all local and national electrical safety
requirements.

This appliance can be converted
to a different voltage. Please
observe the switching instructions
given on the wiring diagram.
Conversion may only be carried out
by a Miele authorised service dealer
or Miele technician.

The wires in the mains lead are
coloured in accordance with the
following code:
Green/yellow = earth
Blue = neutral
Brown or Black = live
