11. Reconnect all disconnected cables to the computer and reconnect the power cord to the electrical
outlet.

Speakers

Prerequisite
Before you start, read Chapter 1 "Important safety information" on page 1 and print the following
instructions.
Replacement procedure
1. Turn off the computer and remove all connected devices and cables.
2. Remove the computer stand cover. See "Computer stand cover" on page 59.
3. Remove the computer stand. See "Computer stand" on page 60.
4. Remove the optical drive. See "Optical drive" on page 61.
5. Remove the computer cover. See "Computer cover" on page 64.
6. Remove five screws. Disconnect the speaker cable from the system board to remove the speakers.
7. Install the new speaker.
8. Reinstall the removed parts in reverse order of the removal steps mentioned above.
9. Reconnect all disconnected cables to the computer and reconnect the power cord to the electric outlet.

Optical drive board

Prerequisite

instructions.
Replacement procedure
1. Turn off the computer and remove all connected devices and cables.

6. Disconnect the optical drive board cable.
7. Remove two screws to remove the optical drive board.
