Step 2: Adapt gateways of the RTLS4000 product family (2 possible variants)
Variant 1 (recommended):
The functions of the radio interfaces "IF2" and "IF4" are swapped.
Advantages: No reconfiguration of the UWB channels, preambles and PRF is required and the
optimum antenna configuration of the gateways is retained.
Disadvantages: Error-prone with very many gateways and cannot be performed via mass
configuration.
The parameters can be configured in the Locating Manger by a trained commissioning
engineer.
• Open the client "Network configuration and navigate to "System > Network > TDoA time
master".
• Select the TDoA time master (blue highlighted infrastructure devices, see red frame)
• Exchange the values "TDoA device function IF 2" (green frame) and "TDoA device function
IF4" (blue frame) (change from IF2 master to IF2 slave and change IF4 slave to IF4 master)
and set both buttons to "S".
