6.4 Mounting external grille
1. Remove cover from external grille.
2. Secure connection socket [3] to outside
wall with 4 screws. Suitable mounting
material is to be supplied by the customer.
3. Insert fly screen [2] in connection socket.
4. Fit external grille cover [1] onto connection
socket [3] so that it locks into place all
around. Ensure that the unit is installed
with the Maico logo in the bottom right.
5. Seal external grille [3] to outside wall with
permanently elastic and weatherproof
sealant ( arrows "S").
Do not seal the underside to allow
any condensate produced to drain
away. Suitable sealing material is to
be supplied by the customer.
6.5 Mounting internal cover/thermo-
valve
ALD 10
The internal cover is attached to the inside
wall as follows.
1. Take the internal cover [8] off the
frame [6].
2. Stick the sealing strips [5] all around the
connection socket of frame [6].
3. Push the connection socket of frame [6]
into the wall sleeve and attach the frame
to the internal wall. Suitable mounting
material is to be supplied by the customer.
4. Ensure that the air filter unit [7] (inner filter
holder, air filter and external filter holder)
is correctly clipped onto the 4 corner
points of the internal cover [8].
5. Press entire cover unit onto the frame [6],
until it snaps into place.
Do not impair the slider function
when mounting.
6. Undertake air volume settings according
to Chapter 7.
ALD 10 T
Danger of injury from ten-
sioned spring on thermal
element of the thermovalve.
CAUTION
The spring can jump out
suddenly during dismount-
ting.
The thermal element is fully
fitted ex factory. Do not open
shutter.
1. Remove cover [12] from connection
socket [9].
2. Stick the sealing strips [5] all around the
connection socket [9].
3. Screw connection socket [9] onto inner
wall Suitable mounting material is to be
supplied by the customer.
4. Insert air filter [11] in connection socket.
The spacing ring [10] can be used to
close the thermovalve to a minimum
gap of 3 mm. The supply air element
is therefore always open.
If the outside air is polluted (if there is
a fire outside for example), the spa-
cing ring [10] must be removed and
the supply air element fully closed.
5. Screw the cover [12] to the connection
socket [9].
6. Undertake air volume settings according
to Chapter 7.
