Function
Description
Defrosting
For controlled and quicker defrosting of frozen
food.
Place your frozen food onto the glass baking
dish or other suitable cookware.
Turn (especially larger cuts or pieces) or stir
the food as necessary during the defrosting
process.
Leave defrosted food at room temperature for
at least 15 minutes to allow the temperature
inside the food to settle.
Reheating liquids
This allows rapid reheating of liquids.
Place the liquid in a suitable container (glass,
ceramic cup) onto the glass baking dish.
When the liquid is heated up, stir it well.
Warning!
When reheating liquids with microwaves,
superheating may lead to delayed eruptive boiling.
This means that a seemingly still, non-boiling
liquid may start to boil when it is even minimally
shaken or during further handling. To prevent this
phenomenon from occurring, we recommend
placing a non-metal object (a wooden, glass
or plastic spoon or stirrer) into the cup or other
container whenever you are heating up liquids with
microwaves. This will prevent delayed boiling.
Reheating a meal
If the food is in protective packaging, we
recommend removing it before reheating.
Place the pre-cooked product on the glass
baking dish or other suitable cookware, and
cover it with a suitable lid.
If required, stir the food several times during
reheating.
Adjust reheating time to the type of food.
Leave reheated food at room temperature for
at least 2 minutes to allow the temperature
inside the food to settle.
