3.5.2 Install the Ground Spike

The constant Base Station position is marked by the Ground Spike, a rigid piece of plastic inserted into the ground.
The Ground Spike provides a reference spot for the Prism Pole placement to keep the Base Station position
consistent and your fields accurate every time.
Install the Ground Spike:
1. Position the sharp end at the marking point on the ground.
2. Hit the flat top of the Ground Spike with a rubber mallet.
3. Drive the Ground Spike into the dirt until the flat top is even with the ground.

The ground shouldn't be too hard or too soft when you drive the Ground Spike to avoid breaking the Spike
or losing your position.
