Tips and maintenance
Regular maintenance will not only help ensure a longer life but is also important for your safety.
- Regularly check that the wall fixings are tight. Tighten the screws if necessary.
- Check all fixings every six months.
- Stop using the awning immediately if it has been damaged or if it is not properly tightened.
Normally, it is not necessary to lubricate the moving parts of the blind. However, if you hear an
abnormal noise or have difficulties when unfolding the blind, use only lubricants that can be used on
plastic materials. Do not use petroleum-based lubricants.
Use a straw on the spray nozzle, lubricate the area between the end of the reel and the supports (pivot
pin) generously. Be careful not to get the fabric dirty.
Cleaning the frame: Over time dust and dirt will accumulate on the frame and will require periodic
cleaning. A mild spray or water/detergent mixture can be applied to the frame. Do not use harsh
detergents. Use a soft cloth.
Cleaning the fabric: Clean the fabric every six months. Use only natural soap, never use chemical
detergents. Wait for the fabric to dry completely before folding the blind. Do not use a heater for
drying.
Adjusting the tilt angle
The awning is delivered with an optimally adjusted tilt angle. However, you can adjust the tilt of your
awning within a range of 15° to 45°. A tilt angle of less than 15° is not permitted, even though the
mechanism could support a smaller angle.
CAUTION: Once the screws have reached maximum tightness, please do not force them further.
Failure to do so may result in damage to your awning, personal injury and void the warranty.
Extend the blind to approximately 1/4 of its full extension.
Loosen the locking nuts with a 17mm spanner. Turn the security screw clockwise to reduce the tilt
angle; turn the security screw counter-clockwise to increase the tilt angle. Once the awning is at the
desired tilt angle, tighten the locking nuts.
Follow this procedure to adjust all arms to the desired tilt.
