Installation steps
Follow these steps to install the IBM 4836:
1. Install your options (except the MSR).
2. Route, connect and retain the cables. See "Retaining the cables" on page 10.
3. Install the IBM 4836 on your mounting option: table top (see "Table-top mount"
4. Install the optional MSR.
5. Power on the IBM 4836. See "Powering on" on page 16.
Opening the cable covers
The cable covers provide security and protection to the IBM 4836 cable and
connections.
Note: You can use a screwdriver, if required, during these steps. The USB cover

3. Open both cable covers.
