System board
Prerequisite
Before you start, read Chapter 1 "Important safety information" on page 1 and print the following
instructions.
Avoid contact with hot components inside the computer. During operation, some components become hot
enough to burn the skin. Before you remove the system board, turn off the computer, disconnect power, and
wait approximately 10 minutes for the components to cool.
Removal steps
1. Remove the base module. See "Base module" on page 54.
2. Remove the bottom rubber foot (left, right and middle). See "Bottom rubber foot (left, right and middle)"
on page 55.
3. Remove the bottom cover. See "Bottom cover" on page 57.
4. Remove the middle bracket. See "Middle bracket" on page 57.
5. Remove the stand base bracket. See "Stand base bracket" on page 58.
6. Remove the stand. See "Stand" on page 58.
7. Remove the heat sink. See "Heat sink" on page 61.
8. Remove the fans. See "Fans " on page 62.
9. Peel off the pieces of tape.
