Fixing the locking catch in place
When the vehicle is parked, you can fix the locking catch in place. This makes it easier
to open the door.
➤ Push the bolt under the locking catch upwards until it clicks into place (fig. 7,
page 5).
✓ The door can be opened by pulling it.
Releasing the locking catch
➤ Push the locking catch downwards (fig. 8, page 5).
✓ The door can only be opened by pressing the lock buttons (fig. 5, page 4).
Locking the refrigerator door/freezer compartment door
➤ Release the locking catch, if applicable (fig. 8, page 5).
➤ Press the door shut until you hear it clearly click.
✓ The door is now closed and locked.
Positioning the refrigerator door in the winter position
!
CAUTION!
The winter position must not be used while driving.
Ensure that the refrigerator door and the freezer door are closed and
locked before starting to drive.

NOTICE!
Put the refrigerator door and the freezer door into the winter position if
you are not going to use the refrigerator for a longer period of time. This
prevents mold from forming.
Proceed as follows to bring the refrigerator door into the winter position:
➤ Defrost the refrigerator (see chapter "Defrosting the refrigerator" on page 34).
➤ Release the locking hooks of the door lock by pulling them out and folding them
inwards (fig. 9, page 5). When the door is then closed, there is a wide gap.
Open the door in winter mode as follows:
➤ Press very gently on the door so that the door fits on the looking hook of the door
lock.
