Appendix I: How to recover UEFI BIOS
BIOS Recovery Process
Recovery is a BIOS function that allows the user to update or change the BIOS
programmed into a flash part. In order to keep recovery function workable, the BIOS
must have the Boot Block section of the BIOS in a non-corrupted state.
Recovery can be invoked by pressing hot key from PS2 keyboard and USB
keyboard in early POST. User just put their recovery ROM file into storage device
root folder (don't put into other folder), then BIOS will get the binary file to do
recovery. The recovery file name should be "project code.ROM" that including BIOS
section only. Except hotkey, the recovery also can be invoked automatically if Boot
Block code finds that Main Block is corrupted.
The supported storage devices are:
SATA HDD
USB Flash Drive
The supported file system are:
FAT: FAT12, FAT16, FAT32
NTFS
