OPERATING FAULTS
The starter is activated
The engine will not start.
The engine cannot be switched off.
The steering column remains locked.
Steering becomes heavy.
Vibrations.

POSSIBLE CAUSES
Starting conditions are not ful-
filled.
The "hands-free" card does not
work.
Card not detected.
Electronic fault.
Steering wheel locked.
Faulty electrical circuit.
Assistance overheating.
Fault with the electric assis-
tance motor. Fault in the assis-
tance system.
Tyres not inflated to correct
pressures, incorrectly balanced
or damaged.
ACTION REQUIRED

Place the card in the recess provided for this purpose
on the centre console ➥ 2.2 or ➥ 2.3.
Place the card in the recess provided for this purpose

Press and hold the start button.
Press the start button 3 times quickly or press and
hold.
Move the steering wheel while pressing the engine
start button (or, depending on the vehicle, operating
the ignition key) ➥ 2.2.
Consult an approved dealer.
Drive carefully at reduced speed, be aware of the
level of force in the steering wheel needed to turn the
wheels.
Consult an authorised dealer.
Check the tyre pressures; if this is not the cause, have
their condition checked by an approved dealer.
