When the subject to be tracked disappears from the screen, Lock-on AF is released.
When [Center Lock-on AF] is set to [On], the camera may not be able to resume tracking
for a while after it loses the track of the subject.

AF Area Auto Clear

Sets whether the focus area should be displayed all the time or should disappear
automatically shortly after focus is achieved.
1. MENU →
(Custom Settings) → [AF Area Auto Clear] → desired setting.
Menu item details
On:
The focus area disappears automatically shortly after focus is achieved.
Off (default setting):
The focus area is displayed all the time.
[68] How to Use
AF Area Points
Allows you to limit the focus area points used. You can lock the [AF Area Points] manually to
prevent the points from being shifted automatically depending on the attached lens or when
it is difficult to focus with the surrounding focus area.
1. MENU →
(Custom Settings) → [AF Area Points] → desired setting.
Menu item details
Auto (default setting):
The focus area points are set automatically by the camera.
61 Points:
The focus area points are set manually to 61 points.
