3. Inspect the sprocket teeth for possible
wear or damage. Replace if necessary.

If
the
drive
chain
excessively worn or damaged, they should
be replaced. Never use a new chain with
worn sprockets; rapid chain wear will result.
4. Install the chain cases and inspection
cap.

Lower Chain Case Installation
5. Install the lower chain case on to the
swingarm carefully and tighten bolts B
to secure the chain case.
Upper Chain Case Installation
6. Place the upper chain case on to the
swingarm
locking lug on the right side and push
the upper case forward towards the
engine to lock it in to position.
7. Tighten bolts A and screw to secure the
chain case covers.
Adjustment:
Drive chain slack should be checked and
adjusted, if necessary, every 1,000 km
(600 miles). When operated at sustained
are
high speeds or under conditions of frequent
rapid acceleration, the chain may require
more frequent adjustment.
