To start:
 Press and hold the lock-out trigger while pressing the
switch trigger.
To stop:
 Release the switch trigger to stop the edger.
 Upon release of the switch trigger, the lock-out will au-
tomatically reset to the locked position.
CAUTION:
A coasting blade can cause injury while it continues to
spin after the motor is stopped or throttle trigger released.
Maintain proper control until the blade has completely
stopped rotating.
OPERATING THE EDGER
See Figure 7.
 Hold the edger with your right hand on the rear handle
and your left hand on the front handle.
 Keep a firm grip with both hands while in operation.
 Edger should be held at a comfortable position with the
rear handle about hip height.
 The edger will edge along sidewalks, driveways, flower
beds, curbs, and similar areas.
 Cut at a steady pace. If the blade begins to bog down,
you are edging too fast; slow your pace. Do not force the
blade into ground.
 If the blade contacts the sidewalk edge, curb, etc., then
stop the edger, remove the battery, and check the blade
for damage. Do not continue to use a damaged blade.
Continued use of a damaged blade can result in tool
