Troubleshooting schedule

WARNING! If service operations or troubleshooting does not require the machine to be on, the
!
engine should be switched off, and the stop switch in STOP position.
Problem
The machine works heavily or does
not go into the material.
The saw works crooked.
The cutting works heavily, also
outside of the material.
The bar vibrates at certain speeds. Worn drive wheel.
Vibration levels are too high
Abnormal wear on chain or bar.
In depth, the machine works in a
bow.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Probable cause
Wear on chain or bar.
New diamonds must be released in
the chain.
Wear on chain or bar.
The handle bar on the saw unit is
bent.
Too much grease at lubrication.
Incorrect assembly.
Rust or corrosion.
Diamond chain fitted incorrectly
Too little water is used at sawing.
Too high power output in PP 480 or
PP 490.
Improper chain tension
Play in the assembly/incorrect
assembly.
The bar is damaged.
Cutting has been performed
without pre-cutting with blade.
You have hit a piece of longitudinal
iron.
Potential Solution
Inspect and change if needed.
Change the rotation direction of the chain.
Inspect and change if needed.
Adjust or replace the handle bar.
Let the saw rotate outside of the material
for a minute.
Inspect for incorrect assembly; clamping
washer, drive sprocket, chain, bar, shaft
Use grease to lubricate. Change parts at
heavy corrosion.
Inspect and change if needed.
Check that the guide bar and diamond
chain is fitted correctly and does not show
signs of damage. See the instructions in
the sections "Diamond chains" and
"Maintenance".
Change the diamond chain and make
sure it is intact.
Make sure you have selected the "chain"
saw mode on the remote control. If this
mode is missing, contact Discount-
equipment for a software update.
Adjust the chain tension.
Move the machine back and forth to
check that all parts are correctly
assembled and that the wall mounting is
correct.
