F. Service/Replace Appliance Gas Valve
WARNING! Risk of Fire or Explosion! Turn off gas to
appliance before removing components. Support gas
line to prevent bending.
• Remove decorative barrier front, glass, logs, base
pan assembly, burner assembly and valve plate as-
sembly. See Figure 9.4.
• Perform service or replace gas valve.
WARNING! Risk of Fire, Explosion or Asphyxiation!
Check all fittings and connections with a non-corrosive
commercially available leak-check solution. DO NOT use
open flame. Fittings and connections could have loos-
ened during removal of valve plate
• Reinstall valve plate assembly, burner assembly,
basepan assembly, logs and appliance glass and
front.
