Dual Deck Basics
ON•OFF Turns the TV off or on (the TV must be the active
component).
VOL < and >
Increases and decreases TV sound.

Playing a Tape

1. Tune the TV to the VCR display channel (3, 4, or for A/V
connections, the TV's video input channel. See "How to
Find the TV's Video Input Channel" in the References
section of this manual for more information about
video line input).
2. Insert a tape in the VCR's Deck 1.
If the safety tab on the cassette is removed and the
Auto Play feature is set to ON, the tape automatically
begins playback.
Press F. Forward on the VCR (FORWARD on remote) or
Rewind (REVERSE on remote) to position the tape.
Press PLAY (if necessary) on the VCR or remote to begin
tape playback.
Press PAUSE on the VCR or remote to freeze playback.
Press TRACKING – or + to remove any streaks from the
picture, if necessary.
Press STOP/EJECT on the VCR (STOP on the remote) to
stop playback.

Automatic Rewind

If the auto rewind feature is turned on, the VCR rewinds
automatically when the tape reaches the end during
playback. While rewinding, you can press POWER on the
front panel (ON•OFF on the remote control) and the VCR
will turn off once it is finished rewinding.
Playing Tapes from Either Deck
Note that playing a tape can happen
on Deck1 or Deck2.
