Note: When the computer is turned on for the first time after replacing the coin-cell battery, an error
message might be displayed. This is normal after replacing the coin-cell battery.
11. Use the Setup Utility program to set the date, time, and any passwords. See "Using the Setup Utility
program" on page 35.

Replacing the M.2 Wi-Fi card

Attention: Do not open your computer or attempt any repair before reading and understanding the "Read
this first: Important safety information" on page iii.
Notes:
• To replace the M.2 Wi-Fi card, refer to your M.2 Wi-Fi card illustrations.
• The location of the Wi-Fi antenna connectors might vary depending on your M.2 Wi-Fi card.
To replace the M.2 Wi-Fi card, do the following:
1. Remove any media from the drives and turn off all connected devices and the computer. Then,
disconnect all power cords from electrical outlets and disconnect all cables that are connected to the
computer.
2. Remove the computer stand. See "Replacing the computer stand" on page 54.
3. Remove the computer cover. See "Removing the computer cover" on page 58.
4. Remove the system board shield. See "Replacing the system board shield" on page 62.
5. Locate the M.2 Wi-Fi card. See "Computer components" on page 3.
6. If your computer comes with an M.2 Wi-Fi card that supports the Bluetooth function, disconnect the
Bluetooth cable from the Wi-Fi card adapter.
Note: The Bluetooth cable connects the Bluetooth connector on the M.2 Wi-Fi card adapter to the
system board.
7. Disconnect the M.2 Wi-Fi antenna cables from the M.2 Wi-Fi card. Then, remove the screw that secures
the card so that the M.2 Wi-Fi card pops up.
