The Buttons on the Remote Control

0-9 (Number buttons) Enter channel numbers and time settings directly
through the remote control.
TV
To enter a two-digit channel, press the two digits. To enter a three-digit channel,
press and hold the first digit for two seconds until two dashes appear to the
SAT CABLE
right of the number, then add the second two. Example: to tune to channel 123,
press and hold 1 for two seconds, press 2, then press 3.
SKIP
Arrow buttons (up, down, left, right) Press the arrow buttons to move
through the on-screen menu system.
ANTENNA Functions as TV/VCR button in VCR mode and TV/receiver button
in SAT•CABLE mode.
AUX (auxiliary) Puts the remote in auxiliary mode to operate the component

components, a laserdisc player, or a VCR. If you set up the Auto Tuning feature
(Chapter 3), pressing the AUX button automatically tunes the TV/DVD to the

CH (up and down) buttons In TV mode, scans up or down through the

current channel list. Press once to change the channel up or down; press and

hold to continue changing channels. In DVD mode, highlights the Chapter Info
Display icon.

CLEAR Removes any menu or display from the screen.

DVD Puts the remote in DVD mode.
ANTENNA
FORWARD In DVD mode, advances the disc forward.
FORWARD
GO BACK In TV mode, returns you to the previous channel. In DVD mode,
returns you to previous screen.
PAUSE
GUIDE In TV mode, press GUIDE to make the GUIDE Plus+ system appear on
the screen: press GUIDE again to remove it from the screen.
INFO In TV mode, displays channel information. In DVD mode, brings up the
Info Display screen.
L.E.D. (light-emitting diode) The little light on the remote that lights when you
are programming the remote. It also lights when you press a valid button on
the remote.
MENU In TV mode, displays the TV's Main menu. You can also press and hold
for 2 seconds to display the GUIDE Plus+ system. In DVD mode, makes the
DVD's menu system appear when a disc is not playing. If you press MENU
while playing a DVD or Video disc, the disc's menu system will appear.
MUTE Lowers the volume to its minimum level. Press again to restore volume.
OK When a menu is on the screen, press OK to select the item that
is highlighted.
