Recording while Watching a Different Channel or DVD

To watch a different channel than the one you are recording:
1. Start the recording.
2. If your remote is programmed to control the TV, or your TV is RCA, GE, or
Proscan, press the TV button on the remote to switch to your TV tuner.
Then select a different channel on your television.
If your remote does not control your TV, manually select a different
channel on your television.
To watch a DVD while you are recording:
1. Start the recording.

2. Insert a DVD in the DVD deck. The DVD/VCR will automatically switch
into DVD mode and you can control the DVD deck.
3. If the DVD does not start automatically, press PLAY/PAUSE.

Recording in 30-Minute Increments

One-touch recording (OTR) lets you record or add recording time in 30-minute
increments up to 9 hours and 30 minutes. If you press POWER during
recording, the DVD/VCR will turn off automatically when the recording time
has elapsed. To set up this type of recording:
1. While recording, press the REC button. OTR 0:30 should appear on the
screen and the VCR should record for exactly 30 minutes from the moment
you pressed REC.
2. To add more recording time, continue to press REC. Keep pressing REC
until you cycle to the amount of time you would like to set. See the section
below for information on continuous loop recording.
3. The DVD/VCR will stop recording automatically when the time has
elapsed.

Continuous Loop Recording

Continuous loop recording allows you to record the entire videotape over and
over until you press STOP. It is most commonly used for continuous recording
of security cameras.
1. Start recording.
2. While recording, press the REC button repeatedly until 9:30 appears on
screen.

3. Press the REC button one last time. You have now entered loop record
mode. The DVD/VCR will continuously loop until you press STOP.
