Setting the Clock
If you were unable to find a local station and set the clock using Auto Setup, you can set the date
and time manually by following these steps:

1. Press the SETUP/ENTER button on the remote to display the SETUP MENU.
2. Use the up and down arrows to point to Set Clock and press the right arrow
to select it.
3. Use the up and down arrows to point to Auto Clock Set.

4. Use the right and left arrows to select the month, year, day, hour, minute
and am or pm. Press the up and down arrows to set it.
Note: Enter each number as a two-digit number, such as 02 for the second
day, month, or hours and 01 for the year 2001.
5. Press the GO BACK button to exit or continue by setting the Daylight
Savings setting, the time zone, or a channel by which the clock should be
set.
Note: If you specify a channel, you tell the DVD/VCR to set its clock using a
station that broadcasts time information, such as a local PBS station. You
should use this feature only if automatically setting the clock does not work.
Setting up Channels
Auto Setup, which occurs when you turn on your DVD/VCR for the first time or
after a power outage, is sometimes unable to correctly set up your player. In
these cases, you should set up the channels manually by following the
instructions in the following sections.
Specifying Antenna or Cable
If you were unable to correctly set up the DVD/VCR's tuner band during Auto
Setup, you can manually set it to reflect the type of signal you are receiving
through the ANTENNA IN jack—antenna or cable. You should also set it
manually if channels are coming in on the wrong channel number.
To specify that you are using an antenna or cable:
1. Press the SETUP/ENTER button on the remote.
2. Use the down arrow to point to VCR & Channel Setup. Press the right arrow
to select.
3. Use the down arrow to point to Channel Setup. Press the right arrow to
select.
