5.3 Wear and fasten the helmet (see instructions above) and make sure that the roll
neck stretch in the riding position is satisfactory.
WARNING
After assembling or disassembling the roll neck and/or adjusting the stretch, wear
and fasten the helmet to check the correct adjustment of the chin strap (see at-
tached label), the correct positioning of the helmet on the head in the riding posi-
tion and the VPS functionality in all positioning notches.
SIDE PLATES
When the N70-2 GT helmet is configured in a version without the visor and peak, side
plates - provided in the box - must be fixed to replace them.

ASSEMBLING THE SIDE PLATES
1.1 Disassemble the visor or the peak from the helmet (see instructions above).
1.2 Position the left plate, internally marked with letter "L", on the corresponding side
mechanism centring the side hole of the plate on the mechanism (Fig.26).
1.3 Rotate the plate completely downwards (Fig.27).
1.4 Repeat the previous operations on the right side of the helmet using the right
plate, internally marked with letter "R".

DISASSEMBLING THE SIDE PLATES
2.1 Rotate the left side plate upwards (Fig.27) and remove it from the corresponding
side mechanism.
2.2 Repeat the previous operation on the right side of the helmet.
WARNING
-
When using the helmet without the visor and without the peak, assemble the side
plates always.
-
Do not use the helmet if the side plates have not been assembled properly.
-
Do not remove the side mechanisms from the shell.
-
Should any of the side mechanisms fail or be damaged, please contact a Nolan-
group authorized dealer.
PEAK
The peak comes in two sizes, depending on the size of the shell:
-
Small (for sizes XXS to M)
-
Large (for sizes L to XXXL)
Should you buy the peak as a spare part, we kindly request to check the correct size of
the peak from a Nolangroup authorised dealer.
WARNING
The peak can be adjusted in two positions by rotating it upwards or downwards. When
riding on the road, the peak must be adjusted to the highest position (Fig.28).

ASSEMBLING THE PEAK
1.1 Disassemble the visor or the side plates from the helmet (see instructions above).
1.2 Position the left side part of the peak on the corresponding side mechanism cen-
tring the side hole of the peak on the mechanism (Fig.29).
1.3 Push the release lever of the mechanism completely upwards and then push the
peak against the mechanism (Fig.30).
1.4 Disengage the release lever so that it returns downwards, to its initial position.
Then ensure that the peak remains hooked to the mechanism by pulling it out-
wards.
1.5 Follow the previous operations on the right side of the helmet.
WARNING
-
Make sure that the mechanisms are working properly. Rotate the peak upwards or
downwards ensuring that the mechanisms hold it in the two different positions. If
necessary, repeat the above-mentioned operations.

Do not force the peak beyond its end-stop positions: this could damage the peak
or the side mechanisms.
-
Do not use the helmet if the peak has not been assembled properly.

Do not remove the side mechanisms from the shell.
-
Should any of the side mechanisms fail or be damaged, please contact a Nolan-
group authorized dealer.

DISASSEMBLING THE PEAK
2.1 Adjust the peak to the maximum height position thereof (Fig.28).
2.2 Push the release lever of the left side mechanism completely upwards (Fig.30)
and, then move the peak away from the helmet.
2.3 Disengage the release lever so that it returns downwards, to its initial position.
2.4 Follow the previous operations on the right side of the helmet.
WARNING
-
When using the helmet without the visor and without the peak, assemble the side
plates always.

Do not remove the side mechanisms from the shell.
WIND PROTECTOR
(Available as standard or accessory/spare part)
This accessory allows improved helmet performance under certain conditions of use.
The Wind Protector reduces unpleasant infiltrations of air under the chin.
See Fig.31 for assembly and disassembly operations.
