IDLE SPEED ADJUSTMENT

1. Remove the left under cowling by refer-
ring to the UNDER COWLINGS AND
FRONT BOX REMOVAL section.
2. Start up the engine and let the engine
run until it warms up fully.
3. After the engine warms up, shift the har-
nesses 2 towards the front of motorcy-
cle so that the screwdriver may not be
touched. Then, turn the air screw 1 in or
out so that the engine may run at 1400 –
1600 r/min. Use a commercially avail-
able screw driver to turn the air screw.
When inserting a screwdriver into the
idling adjustment hole, the screwdriver
may damage the harnesses

To prevent damaging them, confirm the
location of harnesses and cables and
carefully perform the adjustment.
