Care, maintenance and repair

8.1 Care by cleaning

The roller driver must always be kept in a clean condition.
Use protective gloves!
NOTE!
Never use strong cleaning agents to clean the de-
vice. Such cleaning agents might damage or destroy
the device.
All plastic parts and painted surfaces should be
cleaned with a soft, damp cloth and some neutral
cleaner.
Remove excess grease or oil with a dry, lint-free cloth.

8.2 Maintenance and repair

ATTENTION!
Maintenance and repair work may only be carried
out by qualified personnel.
If the roller driver is not functioning properly, contact a
specialised dealer or our customer service. Please find
the contact data on chapter 1.2 Customer service.
Immediately reassemble all protective and safety equip-
ment after completing the repair and maintenance of the
device.
Maintenance plan
If regular inspections reveal increased wear and tear,
shorten the required maintenance intervals in
accordance with the actual signs of wear and tear. If
you have any questions regarding maintenance work
and intervals, please contact the manufacturer. The
contact details can be found in chapter 1.2 Customer
Service.

Safety inspection: If the roller driver is
used in companies, it must be in-
spected annually in accordance with
the Operational Safety Ordinance
and the inspection documented in
accordance with § 10.
Checking the load loop for wear
According to DIN 685 Part 5 or UVV BGV D8 § 27 (VBG
8 § 27), continuous monitoring of the load loop is a
mandatory requirement. The load loop must be checked
before commissioning and under normal operating
conditions after approx. 200 operating hours or 10,000
load cycles, and at shorter intervals under severe
operating conditions.
The loop must be checked especially at the points of
contact for wear, cracking, deformation and other
damage.
The threaded rod must be replaced:
- Wear of the loop thickness to the limit values
(see table, D)
- Expansion of the loop by 10%.
- Visible deformation
ATTENTION!
Only use original parts from the manufacturer as
spare parts.
