General information about the installation and safety operation
The mark that the repair has left the machine in
full agreement with the relevant Standard and
the original conformity Certificate
The identification of the Repairer
The identification number of the repair job
The date of the job execution
It must be remembered that the Acts of the European
Community requires for that Countries the full
correspondence to the original conformity Certificate.
The Repairer, the Installer and the final User are
solidly responsible of the full respect of the
Standards and the Acts and Laws in charge within
the installation Country.
1.4.2
SPECIAL CONDITIONS FOR SAFE USE
1.4.2.1 FLAME PATH
The gaps of the flameproof joints are smaller and the
lengths of the flameproof joints are longer than the
values of tables 2 and 3 of IEC/EN 60079-1.
For information about the dimensions of flameproof
joints, contact the manufacturer.
1.4.2.2 AMBIENT TEMPERATURE
The largest ambient temperature range could be:
Group I: -20 / +60°C
Group II: -55 / +60°C
according to equipment types installed on the motor.
The ambient temperature range is always present in
the nameplate.
1.4.2.3 ELECTROSTATIC
EXTERNAL NON-METALLIC MATERIALS
Non-metallic paints are typically attached to external
surfaces of motor and/or enclosures to provide
additional
characteristics could further the ability to store
electrostatic charge and avoid a correct grounding.
Electrical equipment shall be so designed that under
normal conditions of use, maintenance and cleaning,
danger of ignition due to electrostatic charges shall
be avoided.
In compliance to §7.4.2 – Avoidance of a build-up of
electrostatic charge on Group I or Group II electrical
equipment and Table 9 – Limitation of thickness of
non-metallic layer in IEC/EN 60079-0 Standards, the
paint system (related to the motor and/or the
enclosures) is made with no conductive paint type
and presents a maximum thickness ≤200 μm for gas
group IIC and a maximum thickness ≤2000 μm for
gas group IIB.
Alternatively, it can be used a conductive paint type.

Customer, the suitable paint system is not in
compliance to thickness limits above indicated for
gas group IIC, so in any case, acc. to § 7.4.2 e), the
certificate of conformity and the manual provides
guidance for the final user to minimize the risk from
electrostatic charge ignition, as following:
WARNING: In order to minimize the risk of
hazards caused by electrostatic charges, clean
the motor only with a wet rag or by non-frictional
means
In compliance to §7.4.3 "Avoidance of a build-up of
electrostatic charge for Group III", for application with
presence of combustible dust (when applicable), the
risk of electrostatic charges caused by propagating
brush discharge on insulating external painting shall
be considered.
Evidence of risk from electrostatic charge warning is
present:
by marking the equipment "X" in accordance
with item §29.3 e) of IEC/EN 60079-0, indicating
the "special condition for safety use" on the
certificate of conformity
by this instruction manual with indication of
Special Conditions for Safe Use
by additional warning plate or warning sticker
present on the motor, as follow:

1.4.2.4 PROTECTIVE
CONDUCTOR CONNECTION FACILITIES
In compliance to §15.3 – Size of protective earthing
conductor connection in IEC/EN 60079-0 Standards,
the protective earthing (PE) conductor connection
facilities shall allow for the effective connection of at
least one conductor with a cross-sectional area
according to IEC/EN 60034-1.
The earthing or protective conductor (PE) shall have
a cross-sectional area at least equivalent to:
that of the phase conductor for cross-sectional
areas less than 25 mm
