1) Compare with previous measurements and observations.
2) In case of vibration level increase, inspect as soon as possible and increase the check frequency.
3) Remove rust. Select method and means to suit the component involved.
REMARK : always check that the flame tightness joints dimensions remain into the prescribed
tolerances and with the prescribed surface rugosity!
Maintenance or inspection work
Check tightness of machine foundation bolts and state of
locking elements.
Check state of alignment of the coupling and record
measurements.
Maintenance of coupling in accordance with coupling
manufacturer's instructions
Pay attention to unusual machine noise or change in
noise (e.g. rubbing or knocking sounds, etc.).
Visually check the degree of dirt deposit inside the
machine.
See relevant maintenance sheets according to the type of bearings
(vibration level control is contained in these sections)
Measure temperature at provided measuring points
( e.g., built-in RTD's).
Measure dielectric resistance.
Dielectric condition diagnosis.
Visual check at all accessible points for rust.
Visual check for cleanness and absence of moisture from
condensation
Check for tightness and state of conductors, terminals
and locking elements
Visual check for cleanness and absence of moisture from
condensation
Check conditions and fastening of all supply cables and
connections.
Visual inspection for rust and dirt
Check of vibration level
