3.1 Description of the drives for SIMATIC MICRO-DRIVE

The drives for the Siemens product partner range SIMATIC MICRO-DRIVE are 3-phase ECI servomotors that are operated
together with the Siemens drive controllers PDC (=Profi Drive Control) or F-TM ServoDrive. The drives feature iQ encoder
technology and can be combined with various planetary gears and/or a brake system. Using the rotating all-in-one plug, the
drive is connected to the Siemens drive controller. Using the TIA Portal from Siemens, the drives can be put into operation
efficiently and safely, libraries can be created, and system messages can be made available without any technical outlay.
