  • Page 9: Principle Of Intended Use

    Specifically remove interferences that may impair safety (have them removed)! The LISSMAC stone grippers belong to the device class of the hand-held gripping tools and serve solely to move bricks in connection with a suitable and tested load holder. For hand-guided movement, the control is firmly installed to the stone gripper and must only be operated by one operator.

    Only use tested and genuine spare parts of the manufacturer. Comply with periods prescribed or indicated in the operating instructions for inspections! An inspection by an expert (TÜV or manufacturer) is prescribed every year. Annual inspections must be performed on the stone gripper. They must be recorded in writing in these operating instructions.

    The device must not be taken into operation in case of damage. In this case, inform LISSMAC Maschinenbau GmbH. If the device is not taken into operation at once after unpacking, it must be protected from moisture and dirt.

    COMMISSIONING 3.1. Carbide Tips Note Before every daily use, the carbide tips at the stone gripper must be inspected for wear with the measuring template (Pos. 1). Worn or defective carbide tips with a height of less than 1.5 mm need to be replaced at once! 3.2.

    3.3. Attach the Control to the Stone Gripper For hand-controlled movement, the control is firmly installed to the stone gripper.  The adapter can be used to connect the control of the LISSMAC miniature crane to the stone gripper. Note The control cable must not coil around the chain in operation.

    TRANSPORT Note The stone gripper must be disassembled during transport before load handling. OPERATION Danger! No persons must be present under suspended loads. Do not let any load hang from the stone gripper unsupervised! The stone gripper must be able to move freely within the action radius. No objects or persons must be present in this area! Note The intended use of the stone gripper must be observed!
