• Your microprocessor sockets and socket covers might look slightly different from the illustrations in this
topic.
• Do not touch the pins on the microprocessor socket or the gold contacts on the microprocessor.
For access, do the following:
1. Record the cable routing and cable connections, and then disconnect all cables from the system board.
See "System board" on page 47.
2. Remove the computer cover. See "Computer cover" on page 50.
3. Remove the front bezel. See "Front bezel" on page 51 .
4. To get access to the system board, remove the following parts if any:
a. Remove the storage drive. See "Storage drive" on page 58.
b. Remove the M.2 solid-state drive and heat sink. See "M.2 solid-state drive and heat sink" on page 59
5. Remove the M.2 solid-state drive and heat sink. See "M.2 solid-state drive and heat sink" on page 59.
6. Remove the memory module. See "Memory module" on page 62.
7. Remove the optical drive. See "Optical drive" on page 52.
8. Remove the Wi-Fi card. See "Wi-Fi card" on page 66.
9. Remove the M.2 solid-state drive and Wi-Fi card bracket assembly. See "M.2 solid-state drive and Wi-Fi
card bracket" on page 67.
10. Remove the heat sink assembly. See "Heat sink assembly" on page 71.
