Pukeko Hiker Tent
Model No. KC072-417
PITCHING INSTRUCTIONS
Your tent includes:
19 x pegs
7 x ropes
1 x GOLD aluminium pole (3630mm x 8.5mm)
1.
Select a dry, level site and
clear the ground of any sharp
objects. Remove the tent from
it's carry bag, untie fabric ties
and unroll the tent. Save the
fabric ties to make packing
away the tent easier.
2.
Thread the GOLD aluminium
pole through the power mesh
sleeve on the top of the fly. Fit
the pin and ring fittings into
the ends of the pole.
3.
Starting from a corner, peg
out one of the peg points.
Moving around the fly, peg
out each corner.
To make sure the tent
stays in place, insert the
pegs into the ground at a
45° angle.
Pitch the tent so it is in
line with the wind, never
side on.
4.
This tent is a multi-pitch model, ie. the fly can
be pitched without the inner. If you are using the
inner, fit it now.
5.
Hang the inner off the inside of the fly using the
toggles and rings fitted. Make sure the door on
the inner matches up to the fly. Clip the hooks on
the floor to the rings fitted around the bottom of
the fly.
6.
Check that the inner is sitting taut and that there
are no creases in the floor.
7.
Finally, rope out the guy ropes and fine tune the fly
so it remains taut and positioned correctly over the
tent.
8.
If you are not using the inner, skip steps 4, 5 & 6.
REVERSE THE PROCEDURE TO LOWER THE TENT
PACKING INSTRUCTIONS
Pack the poles and pegs into their bags. Evenly lay out the
outer fly inside the tent inner leaving all doors and windows
open. Fold the inner tent floor from each side to the centre
and in half again. Adjust to the length of the poles. Place
the poles onto the floor and roll them inside so that the floor
is on the outside. Store and pack the tent in it's bag.
