4.2 Connections on the front panel

Headphones
To reproduce the sound via headphones, con-
nect the headphones to the 3 .5 mm jack
The output LINE OUTPUT will be switched off
in this case .
CAUTION
Never adjust a very high volume .
Permanent high volumes may
damage your hearing!
Additional audio source
The 3 .5 mm jack AUX INPUT allows connection
of the line output or headphone output of an
additional audio source (e . g . smartphone, port-
able CD player) . The sound from this source
can be reproduced in the operating mode "Aux
input" . Before connecting or disconnecting, set
the volume of the audio source to minimum .
USB storage medium
The USB port allows connection of USB storage
media (hard disk with individual power supply or
USB flash drive) with MP3 files . These files can be
played in the operating mode "Music player" .

5 Infrared Remote Control

The remote control provided (
page 35) is operated with a battery (button cell
CR 2025) . If the battery has already been in-
.
serted in the factory, remove the insulating film
(to protect the battery from being discharged)
from the battery holder . The remote control is
now ready for operation .
If the remote control is not used for a longer
period of time, remove the battery as a pre-
caution so that the remote control will not be
damaged in case of battery leakage .
Always point the remote control at the
IR sensor (
 fig . 2) when pressing a button .
There must be no obstacles between the sensor
and the remote control .

5.1 Inserting / replacing the battery

1) Push the latch of the battery holder on the
back of the remote control to the right
(arrow 1 in the figure below) and pull out
the holder (arrow 2) .

2) To replace the battery, remove the discharged
battery .
3) Place the new battery in the holder, positive
pole facing up . Then push the holder in again .
Never put batteries in the household
waste . Always dispose of the batteries
in accordance with local regulations .
