CHARGING
Before using the autom atic screw driver, charge the battery
as follow s.
1. Connect the charger's pow er cord to an AC outlet.
When the pow er cord is connected, the charger's
pilot lam p w ill blink. (At 1-second intervals).
2. Insert the battery into the charger.
Position the battery so that the nam eplate faces
tow ard the ventilation slots of the charger and push
in the battery until it contacts the bottom plate. (See
Figs. 2 and 3.)
CAUTION
If the batteries are inserted in the reverse direction,
not only recharging w ill becom e im possible, but it
m ay also cause the fuse to blow , or problem s in
the charger such as a deform ed recharging term inal.
3. Charging
When inserting a battery in the charger, charging
w ill com m ence and the pilot lam p w ill light up.
When the battery becom es fully recharged, the pilot
lam p w ill blink. (At 1-second intervals.) (See
Table 1)
(1) Pilot lam p indication
The indications of the pilot lam p w ill be as show n
in Table 1, according to the condition of the charger
or the rechargeable battery.

batteries, the charging tim e w ill becom e as show n
in Table 2.

4. Disconnect the charger's pow er plug from the AC
outlet on com pletion of recharging.
5. Hold the charger firm ly and pull out the battery.

etc.
