RECOMMENDATIONS FOR CUSTOMER

ATTENTION!
Before using the unit, read this instruction manual carefully and keep it for future reference.
Use the unit for intended purposes only, as specified in this manual. Mishandling the unit can lead to its breakage and cause harm to the user or damage to his/her property.

Handle your scale with care, as it is a precision instrument, do not subject it to high or low temperatures, high humidity, never expose it to direct sunlight and do not drop it.
Use the scale away from heating units.
Avoid getting of liquids into the scale body, this appliance is not waterproof. Do not store or use the scale in a room with high humidity (above 80%), make sure that the scale does not come into contact with water or other liquids as this may cause failure of scale indication or its damage.
Remove the protective film from the scale (if there is any) before use to avoid static effect.
Place the scale on a flat, dry and non-slip surface.
Do not use the scale on carpets or rugs.
Do not step on the scale with wet feet or if the scale surface is damp. Otherwise you can slip and get injured.
Be careful while stepping on the scale: step on the scale first with one foot; make sure that the scale is steady and only then step on it with both feet.
Step on the scale and dispose your weight evenly. Stand still while weighing. Do not jump on the scale surface.
If you are not planning to use the scale for a long time, remove the battery from the battery compartment.
Strictly follow the polarity according to the markings inside the battery compartment when installing the battery.
Replace the battery in time.
Do not leave children unattended to prevent using the unit as a toy.
This unit is not intended for usage by children under 8 years of age.
Children aged 8 and over as well as disabled persons can use this unit only under supervision of a person who is responsible for their safety, if they are given all the necessary and understandable instructions concerning the safe usage of the unit and information about danger that can be caused by its improper usage.
Do not repair the unit by yourself. Do not disassemble the unit by yourself, if any malfunction is detected or after it was dropped, unplug the unit and apply to any authorized service center at the contact addresses given in the warranty certificate and on the website www.maxwell-products.ru.
To avoid damages, transport the unit in original package only.
Keep the unit in a dry cool place out of reach of children and disabled persons.

THE UNIT IS INTENDED FOR HOUSEHOLD USE ONLY, ITS COMMERCIAL USAGE AND USAGE IN PRODUCTION AREAS AND WORK SPACES IS PROHIBITED.

USING THE SCALE

After unit transportation or storage under cold (winter) conditions, it is necessary to keep it for at least 3 hours at room temperature before switching on.

Wipe the scale with a soft slightly damp cloth.

Battery installation

Unpack the scale, remove any stickers that can prevent the unit's operation.
Remove the battery compartment lid (2) and insert a «CR2032» battery (supplied with the unit), strictly following the polarity specified inside the battery compartment.
Install the battery compartment lid (2) back to its place.

Note: If there is an isolation insert in the battery compartment, remove the battery compartment lid (2), remove the isolation insert and install the battery compartment lid (2) back to its place.

Battery replacement

If the image on the display (4) becomes less sharp or the symbol «Lo» (the battery is low) appears on the display, replace the battery.
Open the battery compartment lid (2), replace the «CR2032» battery with the new one, strictly following the polarity, close the battery compartment lid (2).
If you do not use the scale for a long time, remove the battery from the battery compartment.

Recommendations

Weigh yourself at one and the same time of the day.
2-3 hours should pass after taking a meal.
Put the scale on one and the same place to get the most precise result.

Attention!

If the symbols «ЕЕЕЕ» appear on the display, it means that the scale is overloaded. Step off the scale immediately to avoid its damage.

Measurement unit selection

The weight measurement unit selection button (3) is located on the bottom of the scale. Select kilograms («kg»), pounds («lb») or stones («st») as measurement units by pressing the button (3).

Weight measurement

Install the scale on a flat stable surface.
The unit is switched on when you step on it.
The symbols «0.0 kg», «0.0 lb» or «0:0 st» appear on the display (4) depending on the selected measurement units.
Step on the scale and stand still. The weight indications on the display (4) will flash during weighing. Wait until the weight indications stop blinking. This means that your weight has been registered accurately.
Your weight will be shown on the display for about 10 seconds, and then the unit will be switched off automatically.

Note:

If the scale works improperly, try switching the power off; to do this, open the battery compartment lid (2) and remove the battery. After some time install the battery back in its place.
Refer to authorized service centers for maintenance.

Electromagnetic compatibility
The electronic scale can be sensitive to electromagnetic emission of other units located in close proximity (such as mobile phones, portable radio transmitters, radio controllers and microwave ovens). In cases of such emission (false or inconsistent data indication on the display), relocate the unit or switch the source of interference for some time off.

CLEANING AND CARE

Wipe the scale with a soft slightly damp cloth.
Never use abrasives or solvents.
Do not immerse the scale in water or any other liquids, do not wash it in a dishwashing machine.
Keep the scale away from children in a dry cool place. Do not store any objects on the scale.

RECYCLING

For further information about recycling of this product apply to a local municipal administration, a disposal service or to the shop where you purchased this product.
